Top Tips

We have compiled this list of Top Tips for both players and coaches which we believe hold the key to success when utilising the evertonway site.

Follow

This tool has been produced by a team of coaches who work with some of the finest young footballers in world football and who have the benefit of a wealth of knowledge from previous generations to build on.

With that in mind, when utilising this tool it is important you follow the individual practice tips as closely as possible.

Interact

Equally, however, the evertonway has evolved because the coaches who have put together the programme listen, they absorb and they utilise that feedback to further hone and enhance.

That is why this site boasts unrivalled interaction opportunities when compared to similar online offerings. Every page provides the opportunity for users to comment - to provide feedback and to communicate with each other to share their experiences of the knowledge being imparted.

The site also provides regular blogs from coaches and the web team behind the service. These blogs not only educate, inform and direct users to specific content on the site - they are also intended to spark debate and discussion and the allow players and coaches alike to provide their views and opinions.

But nowhere is the interaction element more prevalent than in the new forum - which allows users to talk openly with each other within a closed forum.

Innovate

One of the most compelling elements of the site is the 'My Sessions' functionality. This latest incarnation of the evertonway site allows users to not only follow the programme based on the straightforward and enhanced navigation, it allows coaches and players alike to put together their own sessions.

The Everton coaches have provided their knowledge. But they cannot be present at every training session. They cannot understand the skill level of every youngster who is utilising the service. That is where 'My Sessions' allows users to develop their own coaching sessions by pulling together individual practices on the site. Akin to bookmarking relevant pages of the site, a coach can put together his own portfolio of sessions - and there is no limit to the number of sessions that can be created - so he can use it as much more than a coaching tool, it can become a coaches reference library.

It allows users to plan what elements they want to focus on and showcase them as and when they want. This is how the evertonway has evolved and this is why the site is so valuable to coaches.

Click on the navigation to the left to view individual clips from each age range in the navigation to provide an insight into the content of the evertonway.
